Torquay United v Maidenhead United 13/8/19
The games are coming thick and fast, 10 days into the season and it’s match day 4. We have already showed we can score goals but equally concede, it’s now down to the manager to tinker the line up/ formation to avoid the goals against. We need to make Plainmoor a fortress if we are indeed going to challenge this season, so no better time for 3 points against Maidenhead, which on paper is the easier of games so far. But to be fair they also have had a decent start, winning at Stockport on the cameras on the opening day was an unexpected result for most, but fair play.
I’m going 2-1 Torquay.

I think the lads will feel like they could have gained more from the games than they have so far. Reckon they'll be up for it and it could click on Tuesday and Maidenhead get put to the sword. 3-0 Torquay.

Doubt we will win 3 nil. I think it will be a tighter game but a 2-1 win. They won first game away at stockport, drew with Chesterfield and lost Saturday at home. Seems that performance was similar to ours at Solihull. Davis could be back on Saturday and that will give the defence more balance.

I’m undecided on this one - a TUFC win but whether it’s going to be 1-0 or 4-1 I am not so sure!

I'd take 1-0 right now.Bristol_Gull wrote: ↑11 Aug 2019, 19:43 I’m undecided on this one - a TUFC win but whether it’s going to be 1-0 or 4-1 I am not so sure!

Looking forward to this immensely. My son and I are coming to this and hoping to see a big improvement to the last game we saw which was Tranmere a couple of seasons ago. By coincidence I live 5 miles from Maidenhead and know a couple of people who watch them. Not the prettiest is how they described them!! I presume the bar at the end of the ground is still open to all?

We’ve shipped the most goals so far in the league . We need that sorted out before we can realistically mount a challenge.
1 nil would please me more than 4 - 3.
I’m predicting 2 - 1 to us.

I think we will be winning 2-0 but then concede a sloppy goal Near the end. 2-1 united

3-1 United. Get the crowd behind us and I can’t see us losing this one. Ready, Dukes and an Armani Little special.

If we win this game it will be a decent start to the season. It was always going to take some time to adjust to a new division. I think GJ will have been working hard on the defence and can see a clean sheet tonight. Going for Torquay 2 Maidenhead 0,crowd 2745.
