ANTHEM

So, there's been a bit of talk about a possible 'anthem' at Plainmoor, a song that would be specific and unique to our club. We have some good songs and some not so good ones, but all seem to be along the same routes of other clubs. Maybe if we had something unique, it would make the Yellow Army recognisable and make Plainmoor a fortress.

Birmingham City - Keep right on
Liverpool - You'll never walk alone
Stoke City - Delilah
West Ham United - Blowing bubbles
Leeds United - Marching on together
Notts County - THAT wheelbarrow song

Isn't there a common trend that some of these clubs with 'anthems' have the best atmospheres in the country?

Get thinking folks!

I'd like the every where we go (cricket one) song to become our most passionately sung song. It leads into a loud yellow army too.

I changed the words to that slightly on Saturday and it still works.

After saturday's hilariuos atempt at singing Deliliah,thought i would search out the lyrics.

the main verse goes something like this..

My,my,my Delilah.
why,why,why delilah.

So before they come to knock door the door.
forgive me delilah,i just couldn't take any more.

She stood there laughing.
i felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more.

My,my,my Delilah.
why,why,why delilah.

So before they come to break down the door,forgive me delilah,i just couldn't take any more.repeated once.

A tad bit late when we were only singing it to wind up the Vale lot.

Chips and Gravy, Chips and Gravy, Chips and Gravy, Chips and Gravy

For me it's the iconic Beatles hit Yellow Submarine.

For season on end we are in the depths of deep sh't and only occasionally surface for air (promotion).

Ready ?

"In the town, where I was I born . . . . :whistle:

No, no, no, no - if you MUST use the Yellow Submarine tune, it HAS to be this:

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ask Dave's son how much he likes this one.... :clap: :rofl:

If the kids are united - Sham 69 (only the chorus)

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also, in the interests of not looking really shit, upon hearing the "Stand up, if you love Torquay" chant, please, make like the real slim shady and Stand up.
