Thanks Happytorq.
I can Truro v Exeter on Devon Live ‘live coverage’ but not Tiverton v Torquay.
Have Devon Live employed someone from BBC to ensure balanced coverage ?

We've put out a scratch side but an opportunity for selected players to show they are not shrinking violets.

Are the trialists the same three from Saturday?

2-1 at half time. Trialist C (who is believed to be Dan Holman) has scored twice, one of them a penalty

Number 17 tonight was Lewis Hobbs. A well built centre back, who also played one half v Argyle.
He was with Crystal Palace. He was picked for first team friendlies but suffered from an injury.
Looka a cultured player.

That looks about right, albeit he seems to have bulked up somewhat since the photos I can find online were taken. Like the #14 trialist, there's also a Welling United connection.

Interesting that Dave Thomas has actually mentioned Holman by name in the Torbay Weekly this morning. I'd always thought that there was a bit of an unspoken agreement for journalists (certainly ones with a good club relationship) to not actually name trialists, if their identity becomes known. Doesn't bother me, but I did raise an eyebrow.

A good game to watch, we were definetely out muscled first half and I think Holmans goal after about 40 minutes was our first shot on target,Johnson spent most of the half on his phone either getting agg from the Mrs for not doing the washing up or wheeling and dealing, Slough, a good prospect for the future was given a harsh lesson by their two big forwards, a season loan will undoubtedly benefit him, same for Koszela, playing out right he rarely saw or touched ball for his 45 minute appearance and looked totally miserable, the two centre back triallists playing a half each will not trouble Omars position, Lolos showed some nice touches,Johhnson had a long one to one with him pre match, the No 14 triallist who I think has now played 3 games started at left back, ended up midfield second half and showed he could play comfortably in both positions, Huge differnce when Lewis came on second half and Holman who scored 2 actually found space tonight, a mention for the Tiverton centre back, Booth, very comfortable and solid, didnt realise he used to be in our academy.

He mentioned him because GJ told him ""I was pleased for Dan Holman - he showed us what he's got to offer." - maybe because he is the player being referred too as the imminent eighth Torquay United signing of the summerdivingbboy wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 08:39 Interesting that Dave Thomas has actually mentioned Holman by name in the Torbay Weekly this morning.
