MOTM - Shrewsbury

Post by Gulliball »

I'm going to include the play-offs for this as well. Guy Branston very narrowly won the award over the 46 league games from Chris Zebroski, but with his goal today and the extra 2/3 games, Zebs still has a fanstastic shout to win this. Chris and Guy are literally neck and neck...

I'm also going to allow nominations from people who watched the game on sky, as well as those of you at Plainmoor...

2. Zebroski
3. Nicholson
4. O'Kane
5. Branston

My Man of the match by a country mile is Tomlinson. The guy was all over them. they couldn't handle him and he was awesome. Zebs comes second with Branston, tied with Nichloson for third and O'kane and Robinson for next position. Although I can't really fault any of the team who all had a really good game. made Shrewsbury look so mediocre I felt for the Shrews fans for a second or two. I couldn't come down due to work. So I watched on Sky. but hope to get to Shrewsbury next Friday for what will more likely be a totaly different type of game and I expect them to come at us far more at Their pad than they did today. I don't think I have ever witnessed a more one sided game than today. One fact to demonstrate my point. One shot on target in the 7th minute. The next shot on Target in the 91st minute. nuff said                                   :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
Thats how happy I am. ( don't go counting em and them telling me there ain't many or I will load up a lot more to get my own back lol)

Little mention to Lathrope who I thought was excellent as well. No fuss no frills, but keeps the ball, doesn't shirk tackles and puts a shift in. well done young man.

Also like Royalgull thought Lathrope did his holding job very well - has been termed as 'awful' by our old friend Brucie.
