Loans expiry

Post by Yellow6 »

Has any deal been reached with Ellis or Ness to stay. I heard they were both due to expire after the last game.

Believe Ellis staying for another month and talks with Grimsby about Wearne.

What was Wearne's deal when he arrived? Was Ness only a month?

Probably the best option is to look at the Loanee clubs websites for imformation, they are off the blocks quicker than ours unfortunately.

I see both Ness and Smith have been recalled by their clubs. Both have a good future in the game.

Does this bring us back to 5 loans in the squad now? Somehow we need to improve the team but adding loans looks to be an issue. And signing players on a free transfer means they'd have to be out of contract and therefore likely unfit. Tricky times!

Very tricky times indeed.......Sorry to see these two go back to their clubs.

We will miss Ness, and the thought of Omar, Marshall or Tomlinson in defence really does not bear thinking about.
Smith I thought was unlucky as we did not see enough of him.....was the odd man out of the loanmen, I feel he should have played when Hall
was running on empty, which has to be said is often.

Both Ness and Smith deserve to go on and further their careers and no doubt they will.
We are a weaker squad with these two now gone...up to the 'Marquees' I guess !!!!

UnitedinDevon , you have been around long enough to know the club rarely if ever lets us know whats going on, knowing united we have signed three players this week but cannot tell anyone until an hour before kick off. Its a secret.

Hopefully Wearne can find some form , after a bright start he has struggled, sadly not the player he was last season. I hope he can prove me wrong.
Seemed to be more relaxed with better players around him. Obviously Grimsby move has not done him any favours.

Notice that Lucas Ness was thrown straight in at the deep end tonight. Played a full 90 minutes for Charleton v Cheltenham. Charleton's management must have felt his loan at Torquay was worthwhile.
Wishing him well
