Aveley F C vs Torquay United Sat 2 Sept KO 3pm
United travel to Essex to play Aveley FC I guess for the first time in our history.
I have just watched highlights of Aveleys recent Home game when they lost 1 nil to Dartford in the 95th minute.
It looks very like a village ground with a tiny stand on one side and in what looks like a very rural location.
However Aveley won 1-2 at Worthing recently so they are going to be a real test for United and we will need to improve particularly in our first half performance.
However 4 wins on the bounce must be good for team confidence and I hope Dean Moxey is fit to play as his experience is invaluable.
I hope De Silva gets a start and we are working all week on our defensive shape.
I predict a 1-1 draw.COYY.

Yet another dreaded artifiical pitch, Aveley on their recent performances will be no push overs. we will concede at least one because thats what we do, I hope martin and moxey are both fit so moxey can move inside instead of tomlinson. I will take a draw.

Horrible ground. Horrible pitch. They are a big strong team who play the long ball game. They have had some terrific results at home. Cant see why everyone is forecasting a win though.
If we fluke a win there it will be a really good result but i'll go for a 5-0 defeat.
