Torquay United v Aveley F C Saturday 24 Feb KO 3pm

Post by portugull »

Well after a dramatic day in the History of our beloved Club we look ahead to Saturday and I suspect the first ever visit to Plainmoor of Aveley who are 9th with 52 points to our 46 points in 11th spot.

Aaron Downes will be in charge and as an ex player at TUFC I hope he will have no problem in firing up the team he selects.

As supporters whether on the Popside, Bristows Bench or the Family Stand we need to all get to Plainmoor in our numbers to show any would be buyer of the Club the huge potential that exists in a former Football League Club which is crying out for an ambitious owner with a true desire for success on the field of play.

It would be absolutely amazing if every single person with a soft spot for TorquayUnited would buy a ticket on the Club Website and 4,000 fans pitch up to Plainmoor on Saturday.

Just think of the atmosphere it would create and we then roar on the team to 3 points.

If you read this please come to Plainmoor we need you like never before. COYY.

0-3 to Aveley
But I hope as the result doesn’t really matter , as this could be the turning point of our club in a good way so I don’t care about Saturday at this point.
All I want is us to survive as a club and in a few years time be able to look back on this period and actually have a club to support.

I can see today’s announcements being a catalyst for a resurgence in performance- a classic paradoxical situation where all involved; club management, players and supporters rise to the occasion.

It’s a uniting moment.
