[OS] A United Front

Post by TorquayFans.com »

Torquay United would like to send heartfelt thanks to two local businesses that have shown their support for the Club in the most inventive of ways in recent weeks.
  • London Boy Blue
Peter Ling, owner of the local ‘London Boy Blue’ Ice Cream Vans, is a familiar face around Torbay, and has been a regular visitor at Plainmoor to support events in the past, including the Club’s popular Community Days. Upon hearing about United’s recent predicament, Ling stepped up by coming up with a wonderful initiative that will not only help to boost the Club’s finances, but will also bring plenty of enjoyment to adults and children alike! Exclusively available from London Boy Blue Ice Cream Vans, their new United Cone or United Twin ice creams are not only a delicious treat bedecked in The Gulls’ famous yellow & blue colours, but 50p from every purchase made will go directly to TUFC, to help ensure ensure professional football remains at Plainmoor. Image Supporters attending tomorrow’s home match against Dartford (08/03/24 3pm KO) will have a chance to check them out, with vans stationed at both the JMV Family Stand and Wollens Terrace ends of the stadium. Based in Torquay and available for all sorts of events such as School Fetes and Charity events, you can contact London Boy Blue on 07832 113768 or via their Facebook page HERE. Thanks for your support, Peter, and all at London Boy Blue!
  • Social Bar & Kitchen
Another local business that has gone the extra mile in supporting TUFC through this testing period is Newton Abbot based Social Bar & Kitchen. Kane Minear, who has run the bar & restaurant in Wolborough Street since it opened last October is a self-confessed United fan, and wanted to do something special to help his club in their hour of need. Social Bar & Kitchen prides itself on being at the very forefront of supporting local produce and projects, and having received over 100 5-star reviews already, customers will now be able to select from a unique Torquay United menu – with 10% off all purchases made from this menu being donated to the club to help ensure the Club’s essential operating costs are met. Image Flyers promoting the new menu are due to be released shortly, with TUFC-themed burgers, fries, onion rings and cocktails all set to be on offer! To find out more about this fantastic new venue, visit their Facebook page HERE or to book a table phone 01626 911061 Thank you Kane, and all at Social Bar & Kitchen for your support! The post...
