Post by TorquayFans.com »

Another business helping make Plainmoor look proud ahead of 2024/25 Torquay United would like to place on record its thanks to Valspar Trade for their in help in making The Gulls’ home a more inviting place for the Yellow Army to visit next season. As part of another wonderful partnership between a local business and the Torquay United Supporters Trust, TUFC have benefitted from a range of materials to help make Plainmoor look pristine once more, including masonry paint for outside of the ground, blue paint for use on the numerous gates and doors, and yellow paint to reinforce the brightness of the 32 sets of steps located in all the stands throughout the stadium. TUST Chairman Nick Brodrick explained how the link-up came about. “A few weeks ago I came into B&Q to look for some help in getting some paint and materials for the Paint Up Plainmoor project, and one thing led to another. Antony from Valspar Trade got in touch with me, and there we were, with all this paint to help us paint up Plainmoor!” Antony Bowman Pounder, Valspar Trade Sales Specialist spoke of his enthusiasm at being involved with the project. “Part of what I do is look after the trade side of sales for B&Q and Valspar. My colleague Barry spoke to Nick in Torquay B&Q, and they contacted me. “I spoke to Nick and went to Plainmoor to have a look at everything they needed for wood, metal, doors, turnstiles, gates and all the masonry for outside the stadium. “I’m a big football fan, I knew Torquay had been through some struggles, and I wanted to support them, and give the supporters a better experience. “Alongside Nick, I was really proud to be a part of it, for the club and the local community.” For help in finding the perfect colour with Valspar at B&Q click HERE TUFC would also like to place on record its thanks to Nick and all at TUST for their help in seeing this project through to fruition – we’re sure the Yellow Army will notice the difference at our opening game of the season! The post Thank You, Valspar Trade! first appeared on Torquay United.
