Who Scored?

Post by kbgull »

Reading the Match report it appears that Mark Ellis scored, also listening to the gulls player commentary it sounded like Ellis goal!
I hope this is true as i backed Ellis to score first!

Anybody who was there, give an answer?

Well cant say for sure, but think it was awarded at the time to Atieno, and thats who the plays were congratulating.

Atieno's goal after about 5 players managed to swing at and miss the ball on it's very slow journey over the line

On the OS and BBC site it's been given to Ellis. So looks like yet another goal for the Player of the Month

I was only 15 yards away and I thought Ellis got the final touch. Another crucial performance from ME.

Difficult to see from where I was, but even if Ellis got the final touch, Stevens and Atieno, who both had great games today, each played their part in the goal. In fact the whole team was excellent; apart from one or two scrappy periods, for the most part some very fine football was played, between two definite automatic promotion contenders.

I thought Ellis. But all the players celebrated with atieno. The bookies might pay out on both

I thought Ellis flicked it on after Atieno headed it towards goal? Everyone seems to be saying Saah headed it goalwards though..

Interesting just listened to Lingy's interview and he says after watching the video a few times, he does not know whether Ellis or Atieno scored, one for the dubious goals panel or whatever you call them.

I think we might just have found the world's most optimistic person, an 'anti-Brucie' if you like.

In situations like this they regularly pay out on both. Particularly if with a decent bookies. Paddy power in particular are generous
