An average lower league keeper, wouldn't be too unhappy but not really anywhere near as good as Bobby.

I honestly think David James could be approached; if he were to work with Kenny Veysey, do his badges and play for a season, it might be worth his and our while, on the understanding he would only be paid the going rate at TUFC. Can't see him too bothered about the cash side anyway, and where else could he go so conveniently?

Don't think david James is the way to go - even if it was an option. Doubt his heart is in it anymore and once that leaves performances drop off.

Agree Rich. David James is not the answer, long term.

Olly Gottskalkson or Paul Jarvie.

I don't think we need a goalkeeper for the 'long term' because we never see them for the 'long term', if they are any good then 1 year later some bigger club will hoover them up.

If there is any chance of signing David James we should seriously look at it. He's local, he trurned down Prem clubs to sign fro Bristol City due to their location, at 41 I seriously don't think money would motivate him, I think more the conveniance of playing at a club 25mins from his house would be as big a draw to him. Also at this level he'd be truly outstanding even if it's just for a season.

Looking through the list of available (realistic) keepers that we might look at on the PFA transfer list there isn't a lot there.

James
Glen Morris
Michael Poke
Phil Smith
Dean Brill

Is literally about it who we could realistically get. Therest are either going to be higher than L2 or are Lenny Pidgely etc

I'm guessing no one is keen to give Ricey a chance after biding his time and being an 'excellent' trainer? :|

He's better than both of Exeter's keepers. I wouldn't be against it, especially fi we were choosing from the above list. Only Poke and DJ I'd pick in front of him. The rest pfffffff
