Any ideas as to who these might be..?

NickGull mentioned he is hoping for Adam Lockwood (released by Doncaster?). Would be a good signing. Any other possibilities..?

On 4 July 2012, Lockwood signed for League One side Bury following his release from Doncaster.

(the above taken from his updated wiki page)

What we need is replacements for both Ellis AND Robertson to ensure we're as effective at the back as we were last season.

My picture of a centre back to partner Saah ? One individual who has the best combined abilities of Duncan Forbes/R*chard Edwards/John Impey.

Make that two centre backs, as Oastler (possibly) and Cruise are seen as only filling the centre back role on an emergency/temporary basis.

It looks like the cheque book needs to come out.

We are only looking at adding 1 Trojan. Suspect Ling is after quality and not quantity. The loan market will be utilised if injuries and suspensions hit.

Suspect the cheque book has been hidden after the addition of Bodin for almost a club record of 70k! (that is the highest price Ling has ever paid for a player so far in his managerial career!).

When the squad returns, I wonder if there will be existing players wearing different squad numbers (Oastler wearing the 2 shirt for example) ?

Hope so - I would like the best 11 in Ling's mind currently have the numbers 1 to 11.

He'll probably see how the squad copes with pre season before deciding on any additions, loan or otherwise. No if, when injuries and suspensions hit, we'll need centre backs of competence.

Thankfully, Saah has settled in. Lets hope that whoever comes in will settle in immediately.

That's my preference. I could never get my head around why a left sided squad player (LRT) was given the 2 shirt.

As yet, no one has filled the 15 shirt vacated by Wayne Carlisle.
