I think Ling will go with Lathrope and Morris though. Nice to have more options this year, can only be a good thing.

Be interested to hear what folks views on Pokey in the limited amount he's played in pre season so far. My view is we might have to be a bit patient with him as I don't think he's anywhere near the level that he was when he was first here and looked so good. Confidence was wrecked by Brighton and on top of quite a few injuries it might take him some time to get his form back.

I would go with him from the start though natch.

Poke
Oastler
Downes
Saah
Nicho

Lathrope

Mansell
Morris

Jarvis/Stevens can't decide.
Bodin

Howe

As Bodin can't play v Leicester, both Jarvis and stevens would start for me in that one.

What have I missed, why can't Bill play against Leicester?

Dammit! They won't qualify for anything, and if they do, they won't bloody win it, stick around and play for Torquay instead.
Shouldn't be too much of a loss, get NC in there with Manse and have Danny and Macklin wide.

Matt.

Interesting how many of you have gone for Easton ahead of Lathrope. I know Damon had a few poor games towards the end of last season but mostly he was superb. Is Easton the real deal then? Not seen him before as yet and don't know what kind of player he is but he must have something to be considered ahead of Damon?

I'd have Jarvis instead of Stevens and have Danny coming off the bench.

Also how has Poke done pre-season. I haven't seen too much of him either during his first spell with us so is he reliable? Obviously he isn't going to be anywhere near Bobby but is he competent?

There is no way Easton will start in front of Lathrope so I wouldn't worry too much about that andy.

Poke was competent last time he was here no question, be interesting to see what he's like now on the back of a few injuries and a setback at Brighton. bit like most of our signings, question marks but to be honest those are the gambles we have to take. Worked last year, lets hope it works this year as well.
