Ideas for the big screen

Post by Richinns »

Right then - the big screen is imminent and the club have asked for our ideas:
http://www.torquayunited.com/news/artic ... eView=full

They have asked for suggestions to be sent through to [email protected] and I am sure the club reads these pages so let’s get creative!

Starter for me is team line-ups and a clock (fairly obvious suggestions which I am sure they are aware of!)

Rent a crowd.com

or ideally advertise for an experienced prolific goalscorer.

They should use the first 45 seconds of "The Bay" by Metronomy, as in intro.

Torquay never looked so good.

I have just suggested if highlights of previous seasons/games could be played on it for entertainment before the game and may be at half time. The promotion winning season for the return to the league and the goals and Wembley etc would create a good atmosphere.

Porn? :O
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

It'd make a nice change to see somebody actively trying to score at plainmoor.

I thank you.

I was just about to suggest that! Some great clips from their video, just to remind everyone.

Just as a small idea how about having the birthdays they announce somewhere on it?

The screen could be set out like sky sports news with various 'tickers' around the page for different announcements, stats etc. Birthday's scroll along the bottom, top scorer stats on the right and on the video some clips from previous games (probably hard due to copyright)

I can't seem to work out how to comment on your report Steve :-/
I don't really fancy our chances with this one, they don't concede at home and our away record leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe this change in formation and reasonably decent reason performances may give us a chance, but I would be very happy with a draw.

EDIT: Realised I posted this on the wrong thread. WOOPS

How about a 'text the screen' system that you see in some universities or big companies. You can text the screen for, say 20p, and get your message up on the big board. Bonus as the club also get some money!

Quite right Scott, as can be proved on this very thread with Andy just blurting out 'porn'.

Terrible display. :)
