Torquay United v Oxford United - 9/3/13

Oxford come to Plainmoor after back to back wins over Gillingham and Port Vale and come 5 o'clock saturday, the decision to not go for the win at Accrington last weekend will probably come back to haunt us meaning 1 point out of a possible 12. Of course it might not come to that and i hope that we can get the win we need but i can't see it in a million years. The only slight hope is that Oxford can be a brittle team at times, unpredictable and they could quite easily lose after registering back to back wins against the top two. That said i feel they need an off day for us to come within touching distance of a victory IMO.

For all you who don't like negativity, positive thinking isn't going to beat Oxford on our behalf so grow up. I'm being negative because i don't see anything to be positive about so whats the point in lying to you just so you might be my friend?Should we beat Oxford and play well then i can do the Dagenham thread with some positivity and hope that we can kick start our season and i can put that in the thread. I'm not going to be positive for positives sake. We've won 1 game since 1st of December, had one shot on target at Accrington and are now playing a team who have just beaten Gills and Vale and who have better players than us and people have good reason to hope we might win? That is simply insanity.

I'm not even going to bother going in to the players of Oxford and their form and the stats because until we start winning games i can't be arsed and there is no point. I just want 3 points against Oxford, i don't care who we are up against or how many clean sheets they have kept and other trivial data. All i care about is beating Oxford by whatever means necessary and we should be going out and attempting to do so. If not we have a tricky game at Daggers on tuesday and Southend the weekend after so that will be basically 2 points at best from a possible 18 points IMO. If that is the case after the Southend game then i will be looking to see if my nearest BSP clubs , Mansfield and Alfreton stay where they are because there ain't no going back after that.

I don't know if we will bring anyone in this week and i base my assumptions on there NOT being any new additions. Should we get a couple of players in then great, something to be a bit positive about. If we don't it will just compound the doom around the club at the minute. I actually don't want doom, i want to go to the football and have a laugh regardless of result but how has that been possible this season? I had a laugh on saturday at Accrington because part of me has started to accept that we might be a BSP club next season. It wouldn't be the end of the world for me, i will still have a club to support and get the chance to go to some more outposts. I will know that i have done as much as i could have this season giving the lads the support and every opportunity to turn things around and that is all i can do. I won't convince some of you and who the f*ck is bothered at the end of day but the theory of taking positives out of negatives only stands up if you can actually effect things yourself for the better. There isn't a thing we can do other than get behind Knill and the lads and for those of you slagging me off on here for questioning Knill and all things on this forum, ask whether i questioned Knill or the players on saturday at the game at Accy or indeed most of the other away games i've been to this season. NO because it won't have a positive benefit on the pitch only a negative one and they all need our support 100% through games at all times. That is what i give at games. It doesn't mean i agree with what is happening and so i post it on here where i can get it off my chest and feel better and where it won't do any damage. If you 'happy clappers' still feel like living in the clouds and a state of denial and wish to continue denigrating valid NEGATIVE opinions then it's no skin off my nose, we'll both still be stood on a freezing terrace at Barrow next season regardless.

I'm going to try and get to this, no promises as i was gutted to miss the Wycombe game last week due to illness and desperately want to get to Plainmoor one last time before seasons end to support the lads from the pop. I'm still recovering from illness but if i feel ok towards the end of the week i might go and drive down and back up again on the same day, a nice round trip of nearly 600 miles. I shall make sure i've got my Neds Atomic Dustbin collection CD with me.

Based on nobody coming in this week i'm going for a 2-0 defeat. Let your opinions be known.

The ref is Stephen Martin, assistants Simon Knapp and Timothy Wood and the 4th official is Andrew Turner.

We simply must win this, no excuses.

Short and sweet.....AK's threats work and with the possibility of unemployment looming for some, we win by the odd goal !!!

You've gone up in my estimation Andy.

I don't agree with much of the stuff you post but anyone who likes the Neds can't be all bad!

2-0

Stevens and Benyon.

Apologies for those of you expecting a matchday thread worthy of the name. I shall really try and make the Dagenham one fun and interesting regardless of the result against Oxford. I'm just experiencing severe anger, fury and rage at what is happening to our club at the minute. I don't know who is to blame, how it has come to this and what can be done about it and it makes me f*cking annoyed. I don't know how to express my frustrated views on here without losing my rag at people or without any negativity which i obviously don't want to be doing but it appears to be happening. So i'm sorry if the OP is a bit on the negative side, hopefully all will be well after this game. Sorry all.

The fact we have a fan like you dedicated to TUFC is brilliant. I just cant believe we are in this position, but as said we dont do things simple as a club, we are either up for promotion or fighting for relegation, we just dont do MID TABLE as a club. Andy your a legend in your posts and dedication for club.

Hi Guys.
Just to let you know that I am part of a bucket collection on Saturday collecting money for one of the Charities I am supporting.
I have a friend who suffers from Prostate cancer and I know of quite a few other people who also suffer from this desease.
I appeal to all you males out there to support this cause as it is one of the biggest killers of us males as for one reason or another we love following our ball games but are embarrased to check em periodicaly.
Fellas we need to take this seriously so please notice yours and check on a regualr basis, but not on the open terrace please. Unless any of our lady followers order you to of course. On second thoughts ladies. don't, it's not a pretty sight.
