Looking forward to our game at the end of the season, im one of many gasheads that booked up to come down but didnt secure at ticket for the away end,.
Its Me and my Mrs coming down, is the game all ticket now?
Personally think our slim play off hopes will be gone way before then (prob by tonight) and hopefully you will be safe .
As i said , its me and my wife, we can be discreate in our support of the gas and would like to watch the game , do you think that A) we will be able to get a pair of tickets B) wheres the best place to sit/stand (im happy standing or in the stands) and finally any suggestions as to the best way to get tickets as im told they are not posting tickets to bristol area addresses

I hope you're right about us already being safe by the time we play you, but think it will go down to last game. I would recommend you go in Bristow's Bench (seated) as it's perhaps calmer than the Popside (standing), although the Family Stand (also seated) could be suitable too. There's been talk of stewards evacuating any Rovers fans from the Popside, but if you are discreet in your support you should be OK.

Unfortunately I don't know whether or not the game's all-ticket or how you should go about getting tickets; hopefully someone else will be able to help you there. That said, we've not come close to filling Plainmoor this season, so I'd be a slightly surprised if it's all-ticket, although obviously more people will turn up if our league status depends on the result.

You are not welcome in home ends unless we are safe. Should you win on the day and we are relegated I would imagine celebrating in home ends might cause a lot of unwanted tension and this will run the risk of violence.

But the thought occurred to me, what if two people - a father and son, husband and wife, uncle and nephew, or just two friends - wanted to see the match together, but if one supported Rovers and the other supported the Gulls? Would one of them have to remain silent? Or would one of them be ejected by the stewards?

Years ago in my youth, fans of opposing teams intermingled throughout the ground, with no problems at all. These days it seems that stewards, officials and the authorities, neurotic about health and safety, would have us silent and docile and herded around like sheep..

this might not be popular, but -

what is it with some clubs and their fans. this is our bloody home match. why do the rovers fans feel the need that they all have to invade plainmoor. they havent got anything to play for and we will have everything. if one torquay fan cannot get into the ground at the expense of rovers fans then that is a disgrace.

i have been to quite a few games in the past when so called bigger clubs all swarm down here, the away end is full and we have had them in the pop causing trouble or even in the family stand.

i remember when bateson gave the pop to birmingham and stoke in the 90's. that was a sick joke. cardiff came down with masses and got given half the pop at the last minute, we had a red tape between us. torquay outplayed cardiff and came near to scoring a few times. cardiff fans pointed at us singing we're a right bunch of b@stards when we lose. home crowd then subdued and it ended up a boring 0-0.Exeter fans on the pop caused the only bad violence i have ever seen at plainmoor also.

no disrespect to NHSgas, its not a pop at you or anyone in general, but-

i know its a free country but this is our club, our ground, our home match, why do you all think its your right to come down here and take over. if your away end allocation has sold out then f**king stay away, its bloody arrogant just to come down and muscle in and try and take a home fans place. even if we dont fill our part of the ground i couldnt care less, its ours and not for anyone else.

Alternatively, this geezer just wants to be able to have a little fun in his life at the expense of absolutely no one and nothing. We aren't going to sell out our allocation, Plainmoor now holds over 6500 home fans and we couldn't get that many in if we gave away puppies and gin on the door. This guy might just as well come and watch his team. His life will be a little bit better, we will have £17 more to spend on whatever and it will cost us, me, you or anyone else absolutely nothing in return.

Despite their posturing of a few years ago, I hardly think Rovers would present a problem to our security. They're a nothing club with no history of violence and nothing to play for.

So, in answer to the OP, yeah, sure, you're more than welcome in the home ends. If you behave like a **** (I'm sure you won't), one of our meathead stewards will escort you off the premises. If you behave like a normal, well adjusted grown up (which I'm sure you will) then you won't even be noticed.

I used to go to games at Plainmoor with my Dad when he was alive. We always supported the Gulls, but he was first and foremost a Chelsea supporter. If Chelsea had come to Plainmoor for a match, we would have supported different teams, but we would still have wanted to watch the game together. Presumably the stewards would have thrown him (in his late seventies) out for supporting the opposition, to the delight of the home supporters. Makes me sick to think that the Gulls might have fans, and stewards, like that..!!
