According to todays Herald Express. Sounds like he'll be leaving, but Knill is confident that Downes will sign.

This doesn't need another thread when it has been mentioned on others

Mentioned in the new strikers thread, Brain saah is a defender don't see the problem having it's own thread when that thread is about potential new strikers, and not bizzarely not about out of contract defenders.

Look of course our club does not want to lose Brain Saah, but again why cry over spilt milk. We lost Branno found Saah. Lost Ellis found Downes, if Saah decides the grass is greener elsewhere so be it, our club will move on and once again find atleast an equal replacment.

Saah and Ling have always had a very close working relationship so I am not surprised he wishes to move on taking into account recent events. Although I rate Saah higher than Downes it might be best for all parties in the long run.

This would be a real disappointment, Saah has shown real improvement from last season

Saah was distinctly average when he first came here. He improved but really our central defence was like the parting of the red sea at times last season.
Good player but lets face it he isn't Mark Ellis or Chris Robertson. He is definately replaceable. If he doesn't want to be here - good riddance. Cheltenhams hardly a step up.
Same with Howe - he is so good he has the mighty Southend and Oxford chasing him.

I'm not that bothered that Saah is leaving. I am more bothered about our club yet again letting these contracts run out and losing out on money. Very poor business.

Robbo has been released by PNE. Has anyone seen if he has gone anywhere yet?

Would we want him back alongside Downsey, if Saah goes?

Also, agree with USAGull. It's disappointing to be losing these players for free. >:(

As opposed to losing them for 35p and a bag of crisps which is what happens when another club comes in for them. :~D

Same os Oxgull, Brian has shown a real improvement and i liked his partnership with Downes but if he wants to go then we replace him as best we can and move on. Disappointed but that's life. He has conducted himself well during his time with us and i would wish him all the best if he left.
