Pre season update

Post by supergulls »

I was off work today so I thought i would have a wander down to seale hayne, it was good to see the new boys in training in what looked a very hard session especially in the heat. But it was worrying to hear Downsey hasn't trained for a week due to a knee problem and the problem needs investigating, pokey has got to have a scan on his thigh and then to top it all mansell went down a divet while running and limped away to his car !

Knee problem and Downes is not something you want to hear.

Not when you've got no other experienced central defenders..................... :-/
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

So it would be prudent of AK to not rush into any new signings at this stage, until we know where Downes and Poke are at with their fitness. It would be pointless having a wealth of attacking talent if we go into the first few games with a Central Defensive partnership of McKenzie and Nsiala (if he is even still trialling?) in front of Ricey...........

To be fair Trotman would be a great signing for us! Big towering centre half. Be an ideal for a replacement for Saah. I heard Trotman was off to Plymouth though so financially I don't think we could compete.

If we are or are not in for him, I would think he should be a player we look at. Played league one for a fair share of his time, big defender , very strong and a good size.

Where is this scoop from Secret?

This is what pre season is all about rumours from HP sauce and the occasional one from the man himself in tesco car park. Either way it's interesting.

Today I've seen us linked with Trotman, Mozika and Stockley. Have to admit would be very happy with those 3. Even though we will probably sign none! Smallest one there is the centre half at 6ft 2

Well we don't now need a winger but we might need a CB is the Downes injury news is of significant worry. Hope for good news on this as he is key to the experienced spine of the team we much crave.
