Well Saturday August 3rd has finally arrived and another roller coaster season for us Torquay fans is about to start again to put us all through those 90 mins of highs and lows, and of course that 5 minutes of extra time hell!
What a close season it has been, very quiet on the signings front for months with AK giving press releases telling us to trust in him and that it will be ok, the fans forum with all the negativity of 'we haven't got a team, we will be left with the dregs, the new shirt is crap, all I can say is......
We have had some apparently inspired signings of either promotion winning Div II players last year or players from higher leagues that others were after - the team is looking far better than last year!
The changes behind the scenes are making us appear more and more professional. TQ1 apparently has also been improved and seems packed with features!
I for one have bought the new shirt (haven't bought one for bout 10 seasons), I will be buying a TQ1 (that's a first) cos it looks so good and I know the money goes to my Torquay.
Come kick off, as with all matches I will be on the terraces cheering My Torquay, yes mine, but am willing to share them with people who care and are passionate about their local team and glad they are in the league.
My thanks to all those for the hard work behind the scenes and for AK and CB for bringing this team together.
Now lets get out there and cheer and shout the lads to victory, get behind them and join me in being that 12th man even when things aren't quite going our way because we are looking at an exciting season no matter what.
Come on you Yellows.......,
It's Finally Here!

Not the right medium. A serious, rallying cry is not the place for whatever it was I posted.
"Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something."

I dream of the day MK Dons slides down to non-league obscurity. But I rather like Wimbledon, a club born of its community which starts with nothing and hauls itself up through the leagues.
However, I fancy a convincing 4-1 win for us against them today. How's that for optimism..??

This is what I've been waiting for all summer. The early morning starts, the 200 mile drive down to Plainmoor, the roar of the supporters from the Popside.
Football is back!!
3-1 Gulls. COYY!!
