One of the most cherished beliefs of feminists is that women get paid less than men for doing the exact same job and that’s because the whole world hates women and thinks they’re stupid and worthless. It’s called the “wage gap”.

The very first clue that the wage gap is complete and utter bullshit lies in the logic of capitalism itself. If any given industry could pay women less than men for doing the exact same job, THEY WOULD ONLY HIRE WOMEN! Think about this way: if you were in the business of making packing tape, and you could buy the exact same adhesive for 10% less from supplier A than supplier B, which supplier would you buy from?

In arguing for a wage gap, feminists are in effect saying that businesses are choosing to pay men more for labor because…. why? It makes no sense. I suppose you could attempt an argument that business hates women so much it is willing to forgo profit for the simple pleasures of misogyny, but that is even more pathetic. Business doesn’t care about ideological bullshit. Profit or die. It’s that simple.

Men work more paid hours than women – full stop - end of story. For all OECD countries collectively, men work 309 216 hours per year, while women are putting in 243 311 hours per year. In just the G7, men are pulling 184 733 hours while women clock in at 155 285.

Even doing the exact same job at the exact same rate of pay, men will earn more than women simply because they work more. There are lots of reasons women don’t work as many hours as men, but whatever spin you want to put on it, the simple fact that women work fewer hours at paid labor than men remains.

THERE IS NO WAGE GAP!

Women also tend to work at cushy, indoor, pansy-assed occupations that require little in the way of effort or physical exertion. Those nasty, dirty, outdoor, dangerous jobs? Yeah, they tend to be filled by men. Who get paid to take on the dirty work.

The Ten Most Dangerous Jobs in 2013:

10. Taxi drivers (85.6% men)
9. Electrical power line installers (99.6% men)
8. Truck drivers (95.4% men)
7. Farmers (76.5% men)
6. Structural/Iron and Steel workers (97.3% men)
5. Roofers (99% men)
4. Recycling collectors (92.1% men)
3. Aircraft pilots (94.8% men)
2. Logging workers (76.5% men)
1. Fishing (76.5% men)

Note: This 2010 census report lumps fishing, farming and logging all into one category. Even so, it is overwhelmingly men who work in these occupations.

And just for shits and giggles, what do women do?

•71% of all waiting staff are women
•89% of all maids and housekeepers are women
•91% of all hairdressers and cosmetologists are women
•92% of all billing and posting clerks are women
•90% of all bookkeeping and accounting clerks are women
•90% of all time keeping and payroll clerks are women
•92% of all receptionists are women
•96% of all secretaries are women
•97% of all preschool teachers are women
•98% of all dental hygienists are women

So, basically, women serve food, clean up, keep organized, look after small children and tell everyone to remember to floss! Yay! Good job ladies.

Does any of this come as a surprise to anyone at all? Men work longer, harder and in more dangerous occupations than women do, and for this they are rewarded, as they should be.

It's time for us to accept that men and women are different and that those differences are so ingrained into us by hundreds of thousands of years of evolution that no amount of fools legislation will undo it. Pound for pound, men are taken more seriously, carry more gravitas, assert more authority and generally command more respect than women in professional circumstances. This isn't a slight on women, because I'd take advice on child-rearing or clothes or soft furnishings. I'd be less inclined to trust one in matters of carburettor jetting, MIG welding or the relative merits of the wing-back system. Horses for courses and all that.

More feminist claptrap, this time in a report from the Labour Party’s ‘Commission on Older Women’ (so titled to lend it an air of deceptively false authority). It claims unemployment among women aged 50-64 rose 41% in two-and-a-half years, compared with 1% overall.

Maybe it’s all the stress of women generally retiring much earlier than men? And taking maternity leave, ‘stress’ (aka: can't cope with the job) leave, days off sick, taking years off to raise sprogs and then being shocked that their male contemporaries are ahead of them on the career ladder. But that’s all by the way.

The report also claims that older women face outdated policies, i.e. they face discrimination! Conveniently ignoring the facts that men work longer, retire later, die younger; that the vast majority of work-related deaths are men; that the vast majority of suicides are men; that women receive more favoured treatment in health, education, law, and many other areas of modern life.

This shows that while unemployment for men over 50 has fallen slightly, unemployment for women has risen slightly, over the past 2-3 years. Indeed, this is a trend that, with variations, has been happening for the past ten years. However, this is no indication that women are suffering more. At no time during the past ten years has unemployment for women aged 50+ been more than half of the unemployment for men aged 50+. A decade ago, men in this age group were nearly three times as likely to be unemployed as their contemporary women, and even now they remain twice as likely to be unemployed. While women over 50 are beginning to be affected in greater proportion, the recession has still been hitting men far worse than women in any age group.

So, what they aim to portray as INEQUALITY increasing, is actually EQUALITY increasing. Very clever! Feminists have always been good at producing false figures, with research methodologies designed to produce the skewed results they want, and with careful selection and distortion of other empirical evidence, as exemplified in this report. As Hitler, Stalin, and other dictators always knew, if you repeat lies often enough they will come to be accepted eventually as established truths. This is what has happened with feminist lies promulgated by academia, the media, and government. It’s all part of the same agenda: women must be portrayed as victims in every situation, regardless of the facts. There are lies, damned lies, and feministic statistics..

Man or woman, if you aren't happy with your salary then get another job. That is the only part of all this 'inequality' that each individual can affect for themselves. If they can't get another job that pays what they think is acceptable then either go on the dole or invent a board game or something. It's like firemen that strike over pay, er you filled out an application form mr fireman because you were responding to a job advert that clearly indicated your pay and work remit so why strike about pay? Oh you now suddenly want more? Don't we f*cking all?!! Stop whinging and get on with job you were happy to do before for the wages you were happy with before. Harold Wilson once said that one person's pay increase is another person's price increase. But that was a disingenuous argument. People generally seek pay rises because they can no longer afford the cost of living on their current incomes. This is keeping up with inflation, and is not the sole cause of it, not by a long way. The cost of living is always going up because manufacturers, producers, distributors, retailers, shop keepers, service providers, landlords, moneylenders and professional people always want to maximise their profits, and understandably so. It's about life and survival and how society works, and maintaining the difficult balance between conflicting interests.

And this is where the real problem lies: in maintaining a fair balance. Some may go on strike from selfish greed; but most, probably, out of desperation. Many employers may wish to pay a decent wage, but are handicapped by insufficient funding or poor profits. Then there are special interest groups who always portray themselves as hard done by and discriminated against because other groups are allegedly more privileged. These more than anybody should stop bleating about pay gaps and equality because they are and always have been the true privileged ones. You know the ones I mean..

Disagree, if they aren't happy with the wages they are on then they should find a job that pays more. If they can't then they should accept that it is struggle and try to get on with it like the rest of us have to. There is no obligation by the employer to increase salaries so they make everyone else suffer by going on strike.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you Andy, but if only life were that simple. History tells us that failure of diplomacy can lead to war. It's the same in pay negotiations. When one side or both sides are unreasonable, intransigent, or unable to compromise, attitudes become entrenched and there is conflict. There is an obligation on everyone in society, because we all have to live together in society, to be fair, reasonable, and willing to compromise. Otherwise, seeing no other way out, people will get desperate and will resort to desperate measures. It's why revolutions happen. Unfortunately, nobody ever learns from history, because people acknowledge their own different perceptions of the truth..

The US President says there's a pay gap. The British Prime Minister says there's a pay gap. They unquestioningly accept this untruth from feminist academics and pressure groups who say it all the time. But it's complete BS and has been debunked many times over.

However, as I've explained before more than once, I love women; but feminism is something else completely, and the two should not be confused and conflated. Modern radical feminism is a man-hating ideology, and speaks for only a miniscule section of the female population, yet its influence is widespread and is a problem for men, women, and society generally.
