Striker from Millwall set to join today, according to the lads twitter. Spent some time at Aldershot this season and hit 8 in 9. Seems a frequent scorer at Republic of Ireland youth level too.
Could this be the goalscorer we desperately need?

How old is he? Has he played in the Millwall first team?
Have you a link to his twitter feed Nick?Nick wrote:Striker from Millwall set to join today, according to the lads twitter. Spent some time at Aldershot this season and hit 8 in 9. Seems a frequent scorer at Republic of Ireland youth level too.

And Goodwin... (If he's still here, I've completely lost track of what players we have)gullno4 wrote:rendell, Benyon, hawley, o brien, Stockley, yeoman. would be nice to think that one of those six would have some goals in them!

Yes-he'll be wearing no 76 on his shirt!PhilGull wrote: And Goodwin... (If he's still here, I've completely lost track of what players we have)
As I understand it Stevens and Rendell havn't been signed as yet - according to the He Hargreaves still talking to them both!
Its never been announced by the club that Mozika has ever left. How many forwards do you actually need? - Perhaps we asked for Marquis back and instead got the 115th forward we have used this season who probably has never played a league game!

O'Brien scored some cracking goals for Aldershot in the Skrill Premier, two against Welling in late December. Can he do it in League 2?
Does this mean Stockley returning to Bournemouth?
Although a fleeting appearance at Oxford I thought Goodwin could do the business and we could do with a good win at Portsmouth!!!
Looking at the forecast could this be another match off?

Perhaps he might start with a front three of O'Brien - Stockley - Goodwin for the next match and therefore drop Hawley and Benyon?
Seems strange that he would be bringing people in to warm the bench? Did not want to change a winning team perhaps, but after Oxford might we see changes?

Would make alot of sense - drop your two most experienced strikers and play three blokes with hardly a league game between them.
Lets leave Bodin,Chapple and Benyon on the bench. Lets hope its off - at least it won't be another defeat.
Its probably early days and unfair but is it just me or are Hargreaves/Hodges not inspiring anymore confidence than Knill did?

Here is a novelty perhaps. Would we maybe not have been better employed looking at one or two solid signings that might actually improve the squad, rather than signing a bucketload of has beens, chancers, triallists and players with no football league experience?

Would you care to name these solid, experienced players of a good age that are available, within budget and happy to come down here mid season, with no gaurentee what level of football they will be playing next year?brucie wrote:Here is a novelty perhaps. The fact that Hargreaves is looking at the very same people AK was looking at (Rendell, Cooper) tells me that the pool of players we can attract at this moment in time is very small and the likes of the above are the best sort of player we can get right now. In fact we were only able to sign cooper because the board has decided to give CH tore money than they gave AK.
Here's a novel ideal.. Instead of presuming someone we have signed is crap before they have even arrived at the ground. why don't you wait until you have seen him play and actually.. You know.. Support him?
