Hawley Injury
Hawley Injury
Didn't see but heard a crack or snap, presume that's his season over. And despite hoping he's not too badly injured, I hope that's his last app in a TUFC shirt, hope he takes himself elsewhere next season.
We'll be back...

As we left the ground, he was being carried into an ambulance.
Several fans were passing and not one offered him their best wishes..........says it all really.

TUFC never fails to let its fanbase down.

Indeed it does, he's been a metaphor for our season really. If you know what I mean?Burnhamgull wrote:As we left the ground, he was being carried into an ambulance.

Says a damn sight more about those "supporters" than it does about Karl.Burnhamgull wrote:As we left the ground, he was being carried into an ambulance.

Ditto. That was exactly my thought when I read it and am glad I scrolled on down to find that somebody else had put word for word what I was thinking.ferrarilover wrote: Says a damn sight more about those "supporters" than it does about Karl.

I actually thought - for about 5 minutes - that Hawley was playing quite well for him...he seemed up for it, but then thought it was probably because it was against his old club. With Winnall and Madden, you can see why Scunny didn't think they needed a pedestrian, non-scoring forward who plays the whole game with his back to goal.
Whilst I don't like to see players injured, we won't miss Hawley as there has been nothing to miss - neither will we miss Stockley. In fact, none of our forwards - other than young Shaq - would we miss.

That would be Championship bound Winnall and £300,000 (and wages to match) Madden compared with free transfer Hawley?

Yes - but compare any forward in this league to ours and that is why we are rock bottom.ferrarilover wrote:That would be Championship bound Winnall and £300,000 (and wages to match) Madden compared with free transfer Hawley?
