Martin Ling BBC Article
Intresting article about depression in football by Lingy, especially at his time with us.
Shame he hasn't got back into football propably and would be more than happy to see him back.

He has recovered, and is doing well. Depression could happen to anyone, many people suffer from it and it's not a giggling matter. Once the warning signs are spotted it can be dealt with and it need not stop people from doing their normal jobs. Just hope it never happens to you (nor indeed the Torquay United directors) in the future Dave.Dave_Pougher wrote:Absolutely nothing against you mini but that made me giggle,,,,, Lings recovering from depression and you want him to come to TUFC,,,,

My father suffers from depression and I can assure you it isn't the slightest bit amusing. You are not yourself when you are depressed and it can make people go into the most darkest of places, it is a sad and difficult sight to see.
Martin Ling must have been going through that here at TQ1 and when on the touchline, not giving a monkeys about the game because he wasn't the person he actually is. I'm glad to hear that he is doing well.

Very brave man, to speak so openly about something so private that many ignorant people perceive as a weakness.
I just wonder where we would have been had he not suffered. Best wishes to him.
