That will go down in memory as a classic away day
Great support and 2 lots of applause from the Mansdfield fans, one for the Conga and one for when the away attendance was read out
I thought for most of the first half that one of the lads had come dressed as a penis >:( only to realise in the second have that he was, in fact a hot dog !
that, Paul Bastards ball kicking, and the senior steward looking completely out of his depth as he marshalled his troops and then suddenly realising he had 100 of Mansfield's ASBO's running up behind him, were the highlights for me

I should add that the pitch invasion today from 100 "One Direction" stylied Mansfield teenagers was in stark contrast to the 100 Grimsby fans who did a similar thing up at Blundell park a few years ago.....I do hope these Mansfield kids get the chance to try this again next season should Grimsby go up ! ....

Not long back in. Was a cracking atmosphere and had a good laugh. Great win though shame it was a mixed day with the relegation. The Horse wasn't kicked out he was the Coach driver for the fans coach being told he had to move it to outside the away end.

Loved today. It's the same old story though, for the majority of home games especially there's only the 15-20 that want to create an atmosphere like that week in week out. As a group we need to be more vocal and consistently vocal home and away. It's alright doing it on our last away game when we get relegated but I'd rather see it when we play Braintree on a Tuesday night to give the players a lift. Just my opinion like.

Plainmoor's rarely more than 25% to 35% full. We can hardly hear the pop side from the bench and no doubt visa versa, the lack of an away end does not help....yet in my experience there are fans in all parts of the ground willing to make a racket, they are just spread thinner than marmite.
Away it's easier, fans generally in a smaller area together.
Loads of things could be done, such as goiving the away end to home fans next year, but short term operational costs, rather than improving the match day experience will, with the current board , always win over....such a shame

lucy6lucy wrote: You sung for the entire match. The comical stewards trying to pen us in at the end reminded me of Rotherham away in our play off final season where they had some bizarre rope in that occasion.
I was at that Rotherham game that day right up in the front and thought how bizarre that was like we were going to storm the field..... Like a rope is going to stop people. Hilarious! In a day of being down from us getting relegated, thanks for posting that Lucy! Great away support today everyone! I could hear you all loud and clear from Gullsplayer this morning.

Great support and an enjoyable day. Very glad I went.
In a way it helped Northampton being three up at half time as there was no tension - we knew it was all over.
Well done to Hargreaves & players for coming over at the end, shaking hands and giving shirts to fans.
Lets hope it is the same in 12 months time but celebrating promotion.

I would just like to say thank you for everyone that took part in the fancy dress which I organised. It was such a good laugh and a fantastic way to confirm our relegation. We knew this was coming and it is terribly sad that it finally came to an end, but we showed the football league yesterday that Torquay United fans are amazing. It was brilliant to be on the drum yesterday and the atmosphere was amazing. It's a great shame that the 15 year old pubeless(?) pricks tried to ruin the day, but the one that cowardly threw a bottle at an innocent woman and then all ran away has been spotted on the Coach camera. Have a nice season next year to you coward who will be spending your Saturdays in bed with your mother and sister. I will be writing to Mansfield and the FA about this event. This didn't dampen out spirits back on the coach and we enjoyed the journey home.

Good for you Danny.
Maybe it may also be worth pointing out that their ridiculously stringent away ticketing policy be rolled out for the home ends too? It certainly wasn't our away fans who contravened their clubs own policies yesterday. In short, it didn't work did it clueless Mansfield officials so give yourself a pay rise. =D
