The FA Cup fourth qualifying round. Wow, thrilling. Is that something which fans want to go far in? A lot do, some don’t. Shall we spend lots of money for an overnight stay and make sure we win the game? Or shall we go into it like any normal match, try to win and if we lose, we’ll concentrate on the league? Decisions, decisions, but hopefully Hargreaves makes the right one....whatever that is of course! Winning the game and being in the FA Cup would be nice for the fans and good revenue for the club. We could just win the FA Trophy and if we’re in the Conference next season and go automatically into the first round of the FA Cup? Getting back into the football league must be the clubs priority, but a cup run won’t be the worst thing in the world!

We’ll be without skipper Luke Young though. This will be very interesting, to see how well we do without our best player. Who will replace him? Harding or Wakefield I suppose, with one of them on the bench. Does Ricey start?
Chris Hargreaves wrote:I think you have to make tough decisions if people aren’t doing the business for you and at the moment, in some vital areas, we are just not producing and we are being punished.
Does that mean Rice will be dropped? Seabright in to see what he is like? Going by the game against Grimsby, the only fault was the two mistakes Ricey made which costs us the game...we’ll see. Courtney Cameron should be dropped and I’ve said that for a while. Too lazy, doesn’t look interested. Chappell deserves to play. Where will Brisoce play? He’s been doing pretty well recently, the 4-3-3 role suits him well, but I can’t see us moving from our 4-4-2 formation. I don’t know, we’ll have to see.

Rice (Seabright?)

Tonge
MacDonald
Downes
Cruise

Briscoe
Richards
Harding (Wakefield?)
Cameron (should be Chappell)

Bowman
Ajala (Ofori?)

Substitutes
Seabright (Rice?)
Pearce
Wakefield (Harding?)
Chappell (should be Cameron)
Ofori-Acheampong (Ajala?)

Here’s the side for Aldershot:

01 Smith
05 Wilson
02 Oastler
06 Barker (Diallo - 85' )
08 Molesley (N'Guessan - 75' )
22 Oyeleke
12 Gibbs
16 Forbes
11 Scott
21 McCollin (Derry - 32' )
09 Williams

Substitutes
13 Thomas
15 Plummer
17 Diallo
18 N'Guessan
19 Derry

If you can, get to the game and support the lads!

COYY.

Aldershot have just signed Dan Holman, striker on loan from Colchester. Don't know anything about him.

Hope we play to our strengths here, we really need a cup run to boost coffers and hopefully bring in some loans of our own. Not wishing to blame anyone but I hope CH plays the way we did during our unbeaten spell and leaves Wakefield out of the starting line up.

And of course everyone staying on the pitch would be a nice change, goes against the grain here but let's play the ref rather than let the opposition do it to us.

c.A maximum of seven substitutes may be nominated. A Club may at its discretion use three of those seven substitute players at any time in a match.

Surely one of them must be Ives.

I See we are staying over which is a good thing, no excuses about weary legs!

Need to win this, our fa cup run when we were last in the Conference was awesome and it's time we had a money spinner round3!

Would the replay be this Tuesday?

Reported in the WMN this morning that we were travelling up today.

To answer my own question seems the reply will be this Tuesday night

Why will it take so long for you to get an answer? It's a perfectly simple question....

If I'm deciphering tweets correctly (always a dubious proposition) it appears Sam Chaney is on the trip. Interesting.

Well, I hope we progress to the First Round Proper. A defeat would mean that we would not be in the 1st Round draw for the first time since the 1920's. Come on you Gulls, we can do it!

Eh? If you want to play the way we did in our unbeaten run, the only choice to replace Young is Wakefield. Harding is a defensive minded midfielder so would change the balance we've had their whenever Richards and young have played together.

Unless, of course, your points were entirely separate.

For what it's worth, I don't think we Have been playing any differently, just that we've had a few more individual errors, mostly from the goalkeeper.
