Hi All,
Been reading the forums for a while now, but seeing as the new season is only around the corner I'd actually bother to create an account!
For a bit if fun, I thought I'd see what fans think the result would be if we compared both last seasons opening lineup vs the possible lineup this season for the game against Macclesfield.
Speiss - Moore
Butler - LRT
Hurst - Verma
Geohaghon - Mcginty
Smith - Gerring
Macdonald - Lathrope
Fenwick - Young
Carmichael - Chaney
Murombedzi - Sparkes
Fisher - Williams
Quigley - Blissett
Honest opinions please

My direct comparisons. So a slight improvement then if everyone plays as expected. Not bad considering we are yet to finish the summer window. Question marks over the defence of course, but I must ask - where has Angus gone?

Left Gus out of the starting 11 because he still needs to serve a 1 game suspension, same goes with Richards now that he's signed! Agree squad is looking stronger this time around, team would improve when Gus and Berry join the defence

I always think it is impossible to compare different teams in different times.
However, the one I liked recently was attributed to Bobby Charlton.
After the England disaster in Euro 2016 Sir Bobby was asked if the England team from 1966 would have beaten Iceland.
"Of course", he replied. "We would have won 1-0."
Only 1-0, interjected the interviewer.
"Yes", said Sir Bobby, "You have to remember there are only 8 of us left and we are all over 70!".
