The Pavilion

My grandparents went to Torquay for the weekend and said the Pavilion by the harbour is still closed, it was shut the last time I was down there in 2012. A shame as it's a great building, I saw in the Herald that there are plans for a hotel next to it but does anyone know if anything is actually happening? Seems a shame to see a building like that lie empty for so long.

Hi Orange gull,

To the best of my knowledge plans are a foot to demolish it and build a hotel. The first design was thrown out because of the height of proposed building. So a lower building is being considered. Problems regarding car parking as well i think.

I dont live in Torquay so im not 100% sure on the above.
