Geoff Harrop on his way back?

Well, well, well ..... in a "surprise" (yeah right!) development Geoff Harrop is leaving his post as Head of Academy at Yeovil Town at the end of this month to "take up a position elsewhere". I suppose the only question that remains is what position, as surely it's pretty obvious where!!!! Will he be Nicho's replacement, or will he be Director of Football (or some such other title).
It makes me laugh when you turn the clock back six months or so and he totally denied any interest or involvement whatsoever in a position at TUFC - despite the fact that he suddenly started watching all our home games from about January onwards!!!!

One reservation I would have if became manager, and it's a pretty big one, would be his lack of experience at managing and coaching at senior level.
It would be a world of difference to anything that he would have been used to before.

I'd imagine the ridicule he received when I first revealed his desire to be manager I reckon DOF will be the role he chooses for himself.

Dave,
You say "shocked", is that to say you thought he would be back this soon or you is honestly shocked?
I can only see this as a positive move, would welcome your thoughts.

No, I'm far from shocked, I've always believed it was inevitable. Not a very positive move in my opinion, in fact it would be a terrible decision.

I don't know the man but something has to change we are struggling he was in charge for one game a couple of years ago as care taker manager and put a good side together with the players available.
As stated he might be DOF but do we need the extra cost, this is not fair on Nicho as the distraction of this in the background is not right.

Dave - Thank you for reply.
To make my point clear, I was thinking of Academy set up again and looking towards younger potential players and kids support. Not as Manager or DOF.

Anyone that knows Harrop will be in no doubt what his intentions are. Watch this space.

Not sure Nicho will be happy working with Harrop as DOF. That was something that was stipulated when he discussed a new contract. This may be GI's way of forcing him out.

DOF or Chief Executive or some other high level role would seem the obvious position. With the owners not having any knowledge of running a football club I am sure they will be keen to appoint someone who does.

Well that should rule Harrop out then, Phil.
