Nah, well get something out of this one. Likely to be a scrappy game but I think we will dig in. Going for 2-1 to the Gulls. Williams and Moore. Attendance 1573.

Good to hear Brendan Moore predicted to get on the scoresheet. Overhead kick, edge of the area?

Probably a wind assisted kick the length of the pitch into the roof of the net.

Only a complete loon would forecast a home win here.

The visitors have been going well and have added Torquay target Andy Haworth, Luke Summerfield and Connor Jennings to their squad this week.

Three decent signings in anyones book. Jennings normally causes us all sorts of trouble. .

Since August Macclesfield have only lost twice in eleven times on the road. Once on the plastic at Maidstone (so that one can be disregarded) and at Tranmere. Both defeats were by the odd goal.

So we are facing an on form team who have clearly strengthened their team with bags of experience. Put that up against our two stellar signings, an Irish no hoper and a bloke who is in touching distance of 30 and has managed 5 games at this level.

There is negative value in the draw @ 3.4 betfair (- 35%) and an away win 2.42 (-6%).

In fact the only value is in a home win @ 3.15 (+ 37%) but if you can make a case for backing Torquay at just over 2/1 then good luck. So I was forced to have a bet (which I won't) I would have to go Macclesfield just shy of 6/4.

Looking for a straw to clutch it should be bloody freezing so perhaps the visitors won't fancy it to much, and last season we did beat them about seventeen times.

I fear more doom and gloom at ten to five. Luckily I am sparing myself the pain, not looking at the score and watching the rugby. Good luck to those who turn up. I really hope we can get a result.

Luke Summerfield will pass you ragged if you don't get stuck in. Also any set pieces from the edge of the box and you can bet your bottom dollar he'll be taking full responsibility.

Too good for the NL is Luke. Watched him at York in a terrible side look head and shoulders above anyone else. Check out his free kick away at Carlisle the other season. Corking.

You're not wrong.

First game since the first day of the season, nothing's changed. We're still just launching it long to our lone striker. It's not working.
