Torquay v Wrexham Match Day Thread 9/9/17
well after a disappointing 90+ minute equaliser to stop us recording our first victory, after a seemingly good performance, its another home game.
hopefully we will have a manager in place and dare I risk saying either some returning players from injury and/or additional players brought in.
a victory (again!) is required.
COYY!

In your haste to be author of the match day thread I reckon you jinxed us by starting it before the final whistle and significantly the equaliser.

I think it had something to do with Ray's contributions...

I thought he had buggered off, haven't seen anything from him for a week or more. Anyway sorry to go off thread and Nicky I was being tongue in cheek about jinxing.
Quick quick - start a new thread before Ray wakes up and predicts another 1 - 1 draw ! So after five supposedly 'easy' games when we were expected to rack up enough points to take us way up the league, we now face five tough challenges, starting with Wrexham at Plainmoor on Saturday. An improved display against Chester, but Wrexham will be a much sterner test. I forecast that still-managerless Torquay will lose 3 - 1, with Wrexham's second and third goals coming in the final three minutes. Attendance 1572 (on the basis that Wrexham will bring more fans than Chester did).

Got some useful players. Ndumbu Massanka i saw play for York a few times. A handful and Wrecsam are going well. A fan owned and run club as every club should be so fair play to them. I can't see Torquay winning this but certainly a draw is possible. Wrecsam have been beaten buy the only two sides i rate in the league that they have played (Macc & Dover) so maybe they are just that bit short on quality. Can see this being a 2-1 loss but a score draw wouldn't surprise me.

I was just using the welsh for Wrexham which I Wrecsam. I presumed we owe it to our welsh counterparts to be able to spell their town correctly from a welsh perspective.
They are welsh after all. Wrexham is how we spell it in England.
