Torquay v Eastleigh 13/01/2018 (PP)
Yet another massive game. If you take out our dismal showing at Boreham Wood on Saturday I think the performances and our form has been improving. The defence really isn't a bad one, we just haven't got anyone who can stick the ball in the back of the net! Hopefully that will change with the two strikers Owers is trying to bring in.
You have to remember, this man has inherited a squad of incapable 'professionals' and is slowly moulding, with a bad signing or two, his own team.
2-1 Gulls

Get over yourself, we haven't a hope in hell in getting anything out of this game we just aren't good enough from the midfield forwards, as Merse says too many fancy dan weak links in midfield to get a result with no threat of a goal from anywhere on the pitch.
Torquay (0) 0
Eastleigh (1) 2

It's difficult to be creative as a midfielder with an incapable front line who don't make intelligent runs.Teigngull wrote: ↑31 Dec 2017, 15:44 Get over yourself, we haven't a hope in hell in getting anything out of this game we just aren't good enough from the midfield forwards, as Merse says too many fancy dan weak links in midfield to get a result with no threat of a goal from anywhere on the pitch.

Deflection in off the referees arse ?
Or a spawny own goal are probably more likely .
Yep, or an over hit cross carried in by the wind, who knows, who cares, as long as the team win, from what I saw Boxing day, I wouldn't rule anything in, or out.tufcyellowarmy wrote: ↑31 Dec 2017, 16:29 Deflection in off the referees arse ?

With the heavy rain over the past few days and more forecast for tonight, our best result would be 'game postponed'.

It's another day after Saturday shambles and I am asking all those who turn up tomorrow to really bring your voices. Come on although we all have a common interest in our team we also go to the match for the banter between our mates so come on let's bring back some of the good old days and you never know maybe the team will turn up as well. Our season is not over yet and I for one would be gutted without TUFC.

Eastleigh are a poor side. No reason why they can't be beaten by another IMO. Please, no racism. Leave the smoke bombs at home with mum and dad and yeah. Why not? Torquay can win this. Torquay NEED to win this.
And yet we would almost certainly have beaten the very same opposition on their own ground less than a week ago if Dowling hadn't been sent off.
